WHALE PROGRAM

"WE HAVE A LITTLE EMERGENCY"
A CHILD SAFETY SEAT OCCUPANT IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM
SPONSORED BY: RECARO

THE WHALE PROGRAM IS AN IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM THAT STARTED IN THE EARLY 90S BY CONNIE DAY, A CHILD CAREGIEVER IN VIRGINIA WHO WONDERED WHAT WOULD HAPPEN TO THE CHILD IN HER CARE IN THE EVENT OF A CAR ACCIDENT.
THE PROGRAM IS NOW RECOGNIZED AND USED BY EMERGENCY PERSONNEL IN 34 STATES.
THE WHALE LOGO & INFORMATION CARD STICKER SHOULD BE ATTACHED TO THE SIDE OF THE SAFETY SEAT SO THEY ARE EASILY VISIBLE TO EMERGENCY PERSONNEL.
THE (2) WHALE VEHICLE WINDOW STICKERS SHOULD BE ATTACHED TO THE INSIDE OF THE LOWER REAR CORNER OF THE VEHICLE'S SIDE WINDOWS. THIS LETS RESCUERS KNOW THAT THE OCCUPANTS PARTICIPATE IN WHALE AND THAT THEY CAN FIND IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON THE CHILD SAFETY SEAT
